Happy September 1st!!!

Happy September 1st, Everyone!! My sweet girl started second grade today, I had my first day of my 12th year of teaching with students, and it was a good day.

And, I get to share with you the work that I have been doing for A Walk Down Memory Lane!

The first layout is based on a wonderful sketch by the amazing Lucy Chesna. And, it's the featured layout sketch at My Sketch World! Swing by and check it out! This layout also features the Scenic Route Garden Grove line. You will definitely see more of this line from me soon! The funky flower on this layout was inspired by something I saw on the http://www.scrap-a-little/ blog.
Boogie Girl:

This next layout features my sweet girl on her 7th birthday! I can't believe she is 7 already!! And, the paper here is by Little Yellow Bicycle (who just so happens to be the featured manufacturer at A Walk Down Memory Lane this month!). This paper works perfectly with my photos and, you can get all Little Yellow Bicycle goodies for 15% off for the whole month of September!! This LO also has a cool flower that I made with my Nestabilities Scallop Circle Die!

What's up Doc is another Layout featuring Little Yellow Bicycle. This time, it's the
Traveler line. And, I also used a great sketch by the lovely Sarah Eclavea!

This is a fun (and easy) card that was very difficult to take a photo of that shows how it opens! As you may know, I have been challenging myself to make cards that do not open in the "traditional" way. This one unfolds sort of accordian style and the middle part flips over as you open it to reveal the second part of the sentiment. I used
LYB Traveler on this, too!

I hope the month of September is a great one for you!! Keep checking back here for more scrappy fun!!

Card Fun!!

I have been having a great time making cards that don't open in the traditional way. I found the idea for this one on YouTube in a tutorial by Dawn. She has tons of fabulous ideas and it's super fun to tweak them and make them your own.

Check this one out! It looks like a "regular" card, but rather than open the traditional way, the top swings open (thanks to a brad) and it reveals your message underneath! Give it a try and share it with us in the AWDML Gallery.

Here is the card closed:
And, this is how it opens! Cute, huh?!

Thanks for checking it out! I would love to see what you do with this idea!

Happy August 15th!!

This week has been so much fun!! I got to hang with Lucy and Suzann, and we even got to meet up with Lynn!! We chatted, went scrappy shopping, chatted, ate, went to the lake and chatted some more. As my daughter would say, "We definitely maxxed out the Fun-o-meter"!!!

And to top off this fun week, I get to share my scrappy fun with you!! Here's what I have been working on for
A Walk Down Memory Lane!!

This first LO was inspired by a LO I saw on
THIS BLOG. And, it uses mostly the title strips of the Daisy Bucket paper! I LOVE how it came out!!
Here's my (not-so) little man when we went apple picking last fall. This features Fancy Pants paper and a sketch by Lucy Chesna!

This card is a sketch by Lucy Chesna, as well!
This card features Daisy Bucket paper and stamp and a punch by EK Success!
This card features Fancy Pants paper and the same EK Success Punch. This is another one of Lucy's Sketches!

Thanks for looking!! Please stop by the
A Walk Down Memory Lane Gallery and see what the other designers have been up to, as well!!
And, you still have two weeks to get all Daisy Bucket Products at A Walk Down Memory Lane for 15% off!!!

My boy lost his first tooth!!

I couldn't beleive it when POP! Out came the tooth! My daughter is a really light sleeper so we had to come up with another plan for the toothfairy. So, when I saw the mailboxes at Target, I knew just what to do. I did Elizabeth's box a while ago, and I got Colby's done just in the nick of time. If I were able to take a picture of the box, you would see a little tooth inside it! He popped it out while I was taking a photo!

I used
Daisy Bucket's Rock Star papers to do this! And, since it is the featured manufacturer for the month of August at A Walk Down Memory Lane, you can buy it for 15% off all month!!

August is ROCKIN' at My Sketch World!!

Oh, yeah, baby!!! My Sketch World is the place to be for the month of August! We just kicked off the month long ABC Crop this morning with the first challenge! And, our sponsor, I Am A Scrapaholic, has provided three yummy kits for the grand prizes!!!

Since it is the first of the month, we also get to reveal the new sketch!! Check out the sketch here: My Sketch World Blog.

Here is my take on it:
Have a great day!! Can't wait to see you at the crop!! :)

Happy 1st of the Month!!

I am LOVING the 1st of the month when I get to share some of the scrappy goodness that I have been working on! This month at A Walk Down Memory Lane, the featured manufacturer is Daisy Bucket! I adore these papers! They are easy to work with and have a unique texture that makes them extra fun to work with.

This card is super cool and actually opens in the middle by pulling on the outer edges. Check out the DT blog for a tutorial on how to make it!

This is a fun card that opens a little differently, too! I am realy enjoying making cards that don't open the traditional way!

Here is my son at Wells Harbor Beach this summer. I really liked using the Bazzill InStitch'z Templates to do the title. I paper pieced the sun and my son even helped me stitch it!

Here we are picking strawberries this past june! I cut out a strawberry shape from one paper, and the leaves from another piece to make the strawberry! I was really happy with how it came out! The sketch from Becky Fleck was just the right fit for this LO, too!!

Thanks for looking!! Have a great day! And, don't forget to visit the AWDML store to pick up som yummy Daisy Bucket papers! The featured manufacturer is always 25% off for the whole month!!!
