A few things to share....

Hi, All!! I hope you are all enjoying beautiful sun-shiney days! Just thought I'd take a few minutes to share a few things I have been up to....

This layout was done for the Camp Rock Crop at Scrapbook Deals 4U. It's been a super fun crop so far and I can't wait to see what week four's challenge will be! I am LOVING this line from My Mind's Eye, too!

And, this is the card I made for my dad for Father's Day. He's quite the handy guy to have around so I thought this would be perfect for him! I used Scrappin' Sports & More papers to create a "Tape Measure" card. When you pull out the "tape" all the way, it's about two feet long! And, we all signed the back before we gave it to him. Happy Father's Day, Dad!!
I'll be back to share more very soon!! Thanks for stopping by!

{Project 12} Gardening: We dig it!

The design team at Scrappin' Sports & More is participating in the Project 12 challenge at the Scrapbook & Cards Today blog. I used the left side of May's two page sketch and scrapped about how we plant our garden every year at the end of May. This is a project that has become very important to our family over the last few years, and we love planting and tending our garden together!

Time to take some ACTION...

...action SHOTS, that is! My challenge at My Sketch World this month is to use some ACTION SHOTS on your layout. For my example, I used photos of my 6 year old and his 20 year old buddy doing cannon balls into the pool. They had so much fun! If you would like to participate in the challenge (and check out the other challenges this month), just swing on over to the new MSW Forum! See you there!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Scrappin' Sports and More Salutes Graduations

This week, the Design Team at Scrappin' Sports and More is saluting Graduations! Check out the SS&M Blog to see what the other designers have done.

I chose to highlight my son's preschool graduation. He attended the same preschool from the time he was 22 months old until he was headed to Kindergarten. Thanks to his fabulous teachers, he was so ready and so excited for Kindergarten. And, he was SO excited to earn his pillow! He uses it every night!

Fun stuff to share!

Hi, All! You may know that I have the honor of being on the staff of the online magazine "Scrapbook News & Review." I have to wait a bit before I can share my work that I did for them, so here is the work that was included in my first issue as a staffer.

The first one was for the "shaped paper" call. I love this line (Flaming Butterflies from Niki Sivils) and couldn't wait to use it. This is the first wedding photo of Chris and I that I have ever scrapped! Back in the golden age (almost 11 years ago) we didn't have digital pics taken, so my dad scanned in what I have and I am so glad to have it.

This was done for the "Family Photos" call. I try to think outside the box for the calls and this one fit since my whole family was in it. This is the scene as we were headed to check out of our hotel to go home from Disney. Everyone was so somber and didn't want the magic to end. I used a sketch by Kristine Davidson for this one.

Thanks for stopping by! I will have more work to share this week, so be sure to come back Monday AND Tuesday!!! ;)

Project 12: Exploring Fort Williams

Scrappin' Sports and More's Design Team is participating in Project 12! I am jumping in for April's sketch and I chose to document our visit to Fort Williams in Cape Elizabeth, Maine during our April Vacation. It's a popular tourist spot, but we had never been there. I don't tend to do a lot of journaling, but this sketch by Becky Fleck gave me the push I needed to really document our adventure. You can click on the layout to see it a little bigger.

Happy Mother's Day!

My first assignment as a designer for Scrappin' Sports & More was to make a Mother's Day layout. So, I used some of the "Summer Wishes " paper and some "Game Day- Softball" paper to make this layout about my beautiful Grandmother. Here, in Maine, many of us (myself included) have French Canadian roots, so we call her "Memere" (pronounced "mem-may"). She is the sweetest lady to ever walk the earth! And, this summer, she will celebrate her 30th birthday for the 61st time! I love you, Memere!!

Je t'aime:
Happy Mother's Day to all of the moms out there....especially mine!! Love you!
