Hello out there!!!!

Hi, all!! I have not disappeared from the planet! We have been having some flooding issues in my basement/scraproom, so my scrappy time has been pretty much wiped out this month. Oh, and there was a little trip to Disney thrown in there, too!!

This layout has actually been done for a few weeks, but I have not been home at a time when it wasn't raining or dark to get a photo of it! It is a scraplift of one of Lucy Chesna's Layouts and it is for the March Scraplift challenge that I am hosting at My Sketch World. Come on over and play with us!!

I also have some very exciting news to share!! I was asked by Dan Koch, the owner of Scrapbook News & Review Magazine to join their staff!! Apparently they discovered my blog and liked what they saw! Scrapbooking is definitely a Labor of Love!!

For some reason, this layout took me FOREVER to finish! I fussed and fussed over it but I am finally happy with the outcome. I used some Rusty Pickle paper that was a gift from my dear friend Lucy and lots and lots and lots of stitching- some with my machine, and some with my pen! I also took the plunge and tried these rolled paper flowers that everyone is trying these days. I used my Nestibilities Scalloped circle to start with and it made these great flower petals along the outside edge! I can't wait to find all kinds of things to put these flowers on!

Imaginisce Sketch Challenge!

Imaginisce has a great sketch by Julie Bonner on their blog this month. This is my interpretation of it using Imaginisce's Twitterpated line of paper. It's such a great line and I love how the colors just popped off the black background. If you want to participate, hop on over and check it out- your creations have to be linked to their blog before Feb. 25th using Mr. Linky. Have fun!

A few more things to share!

Just a few more things to share from the crops that I have been playing around in. This first one is based on a sketch by Helen over at Dixie Pieces and was part of their "Beat the Winter Blues Crop." I am LOVING this line of 3Bugs paper and I'm starting to wish I had picked up two of each sheet! I like how it lends itself toward the clean, simple lines that I like to play with. And, this card is based on a sketch by Tammy who is also from Dixie Pieces. It was a fun sketch to work with and I might just use this one again!

I can't wait until next week when I am on vacation and can scrap until my heart's content! But, in the meantime, I have a few cards to share with you. Both are sketches from Lucy Chesna and are for the "Sketch-a-Thon" at My Sketch World. They also fit challenges at the Dixie Pieces crop! Enjoy!
