BOAF & Blue Fern Blog Hop!

Hopefully, you have been directed here from Janet's Blog.  If you haven't, please head back to the Birds of a Feather Blog and start hopping from there.  Remember, in order to qualify for the prize, you MUST hop to and comment on each Scrap Chick's blog.
Here's my project using the awesome Blue Fern Studio's chipboard and the BOAF October Kit!

This chipboard is FANTASTIC!  Not only is the design beautiful, but it's sturdy enough to work with it without fear that it's going to fall apart  Even though I didn't ink this one, I have used ink on other Blue Fern chipboard, and it takes ink beautifully!  Here's a close-up of the title I used!  Isn't it gorgeous?

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Now you need to hop over to Shawna's blog for the next project!

Before you go, since this weekend is the Birds of a Feather Bird-day Crop, and since we are celebrating three amazing years, Amy has a special gift to offer you:
All hoppers can receive 10% off your Blue Fern order if you order through BOAF by the crop deadline, Wednesday the 16th. All you need to do is send Amy a private message via the message board OR the gallery, or send an email to birdsofafeatherkits@gmail.com .

Thanks again for stopping by my blog today and for playing along in our blog hop!  I hope you'll come back soon!

My Sketch World Blog Hop!

Image

Welcome to My Sketch World's Blog Hop!

Sketches, sketches!  Oh, I love sketches. And, I'm really excited to show off this month's sketch from MSW!  We are welcoming a new Design Team and I'm so excited to be back as the Design Team Leader!   MSW is my online-scrappy family and I truly love it there!  First, just a little about me...

My name is Nicole and I live in Southern Maine with my husband of 13 years, my two kids and my two dogs.  They are my life and they are why I scrap!  I love to scrap the small moments, as well as the big ones so that they will have them to cherish and remember forever.  By day I am a middle school music teacher and am in my 15th year.  After school time is spent carting my kids to dance, karate and music lessons, cooking and of course, scrapping!  I love my MSW girls and if you haven't been over to the forum to hang out with us, you should definitely check it out!

I'd also love it if you became a follower of my blog so you can come back to check out what I'm up to!

Here is this month's layout sketch:

Here is my example using the sketch:

Here's a close-up of the title and journaling:

Welcome to the Momenta & Clearsnap Blog Hop!!  If you arrived from Megan Aaron's blog, then you are in the right place!  If not, jump back to the Clearsnap Blog so you can start at the beginning and not miss any of the scrappy goodness along the way!

You have a chance to win two prize packages each valued at $30.00!

All you have to do to be eligible to win is visit the participating blogs on the hop and leave a comment on each one! Of course, we would love to have you follow our blog, too!

Deadline to leave a comment to win is 11:59pm (ET), Sunday 8/19.

Winners of the Clearsnap prize will be announced on the Momenta Blog on Monday, 8/20/12!

Here's one of the prizes you can win!

Now, onto my project!  I used the super fun Design Adhesive to create this fun card!  I cut the balloons and birthday hats out of the centers and just used the circle designs and some white embossing powder to create the background.  Then, I embossed one of the whole designs onto the green paper and stamped the sentiment using some of the Clearsnap Mix'd Media Inx.

Here's a closeup of the design so you can see the great texture and pop that you get when you emboss these great designs!

These Clearsnap products were so fun to play with!  The Design Adhesives were really fun and I can't wait to try some of the other designs.  And, the Mix'd Media Inx was awesome!  The inkpad was nice and juicy and stamped a clear, precise image perfectly on the first try!  Thanks, Clearsnap!

Happy Birthday to A Walk Down Memory Lane!

Happy 9th Birthday to A Walk Down Memory Lane!!
We are celebrating today with a blog hop so you can get to know our Design Team!

I am so happy to part of the design team again!!
A little about me:
My name is Nicole Wise.  I live in Southern Maine with my husband, two kids and two dogs.   They are the main reason I scrap.  I love to scrap the funny moments and how they grow and change, as well as the activities we do as a family and that the kids participate in.  During the day, I am a Middle School Music Teacher.  I am in my 14th year of teaching and, while I am super excited when summer rolls around, I do love teaching!  The kids are really fun and keep me entertained every day.
I have been scrapping for about five years.  In the past few years, it has truly grown into an obsession that I am thinking about all the time, and I am enjoying my roles on several design teams.  I am always looking for fun ideas to use in my scrapping and I enjoy surfing the internet to find interesting things to use and techniques to try.
Besides scrapping, I enjoy toting my kids to dance class, soccer, baseball and karate, as well as playing outside with them in our fun yard.  So, I have lots of opportunities to take photos of them doing fun things to scrap!

We are sharing our favorite projects that we have made in the last few months at AWDML, so after lots of hemming and hawing, I decided that my favorite is the emergency sewing kit that I made from a Sucrets tin and some fabulous Jillibean Soup papers!

Isn't it so cute?!  It sits proudly in my desk at school for when I lose that inevitable button, or even for when someone needs a safety pin.  It's already come in handy a few times!

I used lots of great products from AWDML to make this:
Jillibean Soup Homemade 6- Bean Soup Stickers
American Crafts Cardstock

I have a great giveaway for someone who leaves a comment my blog. One lucky person will recieve $5 Gift Certificate to A Walk Down Memory Lane!! The deadline to comment and enter your name for the Gift Certificate is March 2nd at 11:59PM EST.  I will post a winner on March 3rd, so be sure to become a follower of my blog so you can  find your way back to see if YOU are the winner!

When you are done checking out all the blogs then head back to AWDML Blog  and check out the new contest that is going on. One lucky winner will recieve $25 GC to the AWDML store!!  We have some exciting new changes and alot of fun coming soon!

The next stop on today's hop is Suzanne Spokus' blog!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I hope you were inspired!
