A Walk Down Memory Lane December Fun!!

December has been wildly busy, but we have been having fun at A Walk Down Memory Lane! This month's featured manufacturer is American Crafts! So, for the entire month of December, ALL American Crafts products are 15% off! WOOHOO!!

Here's a LO I did using the "
Everyday" collection from American Crafts, as well as their cardstock and their Thickers.
Here's a simple card using the same collection:
And, here's the sign I made for Elizabeth's room, again using the Everyday Collection. I made one for Colby a few months ago and she has NOT let me forget that I needed to make one for her, too!

My sweet boy is 6 years old!! I can't believe how fast it's going! Here's a LO that uses some
Pink Paislee Amber Road and the journaling tells of some of the things he loves at Six!

This LO was made with the gorgeous Alissa line from Bo Bunny as well as some AC Cardstock and Thickers. And, my Martha Stewart Doiley Lace Edge Punch got quite a workout, too!

I LOVE how this card came out!! I recycled the packaging from some Fancy Pants Crocheted Flowers and then used my circle cutter to cut my cardstock. Then, I attached the Three Bugs paper to the back and filled it with some glitter. The result: A Snow Globe Card!
This banner was inspired by "Mimi", a fellow scrapper that made a gorgeous banner using acrylic mitten shapes. This was a lot of fun to make and the Three Bugs Let it Snow Caboodle Kit had the perfect paper for it!

Thanks for checking in! I am excited to stay on at A Walk Down Memory Lane for the month of January, and hopefully even longer! This has been such a fun DT to be on and I really feel like I have learned a lot. Thanks to Lisa for this amazing opportunity!
Have a wonderful holiday, everyone!!

Happy December 1st!!!

It's the first of the month, so I get to show you some of the fun things I have been working on!

"Just Chilling Out" is based on this month's sketch by Lucy Chesna for My Sketch World. I am so proud to be on her DT! She just posted the DT call for the next term on the forum. Pop over and check it out!

**A quick note- The papers for this LO were a gift from my good scrappy friend, Kristi! They were perfect for this project! Thank you, Kristi!!!!

FINALLY....

....Miss Elizabeth lost her first tooth! This has been a long time in coming and she was quite sure that everyone in her class had lost a tooth BUT HER! Finally, she has joined the ranks of the kids with gap-toothed grins!

I was able to use more goodies from the
I am a Scrapaholic November Kit to make this Layout and I love how it came out. Most of the paper is from the Bo Bunny Kitchen Spice collection.

Thanks again to Lynn and the girls at IAAS for inviting me to be this month's visiting therapist! If joining a Kit Club is on your Christmas list, or if you want to just buy one kit, I insist that you check out Lynn's kits! They are absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!

Where did November go? Then again, I am not sure where the months went starting in about July! But, here we are at November 15th and I get to share what I have been working on over at A Walk Down Memory Lane!

I was so excited that I got to work with this GORGEOUS Bo Bunny Flutter Butter! It took me a long time to cut into it because it is so darn pretty, but I am really glad that I did!
Beauty:
And this LO was done with this month's featured manufacturer: PINK PAISLEE! I loved working with this Spring Fling line and have used darn near every scrap of it! I especially loved the sheet of die cuts where the large bracket frame came from!
The FIRST Missing Tooth:This card also shows some more Spring Fling paper and die-cuts and these super cute Prima Felt flowers! Love 'em!!

Accordion Card & A Color Challenge

Hi, All!! Friday at A Walk Down Memory Lane means a new challenge to do (and another chance to win some scrappy goodies)!! This week is a color challenge. Check out the AWDML DT Blog for all of the details of the challenge.

As an example for the color challenge, I made this Accordion Fold Card that was inspired by one I found one day while surfing the internet looking for fun ideas. I can't remember where I saw it, but the design idea definitely stuck with me! I used the Dream Street Sam Papers. And, I made a quick and easy tutorial on how to make this card. Just click HERE to see it.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Make it a GREAT day!

I am a SCRAPAHOLIC!!

Yes!! I AM a Scrapaholic, but it's also the name of a wonderful kit club! And, I was asked to be the November "Visiting Therapist." The kit is gorgeous and features Bo Bunny's Kitchen Spice paper and Cosmo Cricket's Nutmeg paper. And, the embellisments are gorgeous, too-- lots of Maya Road goodies!!

In this layout I used the kit and my daughter's 2nd grade school photos. I used one of the Maya Road journaling cards to mat the wallet sized photo and cut the flowers out of one of the papers to create the embellie cluster. To create the title, I inked the chipboard letters from the kit and heat embossed them with clear powder. I also added some Stickles!
I want to thank Lynn at IAAS for this opportunity! And, I would encourage any scrapper to look into her kits! They are a great value, especially if you do a subscription!! You can check them out on her homepage--> HERE

Thanks for stopping by!!

Happy November 1st!!!

The month of November brings PINK PAISLEE as the Featured Manufacturer at A Walk Down Memory Lane! I chose to use their "Spring Fling" line and found that it is very easy to work with! The colors are wonderful and the patterns were really fun!

Here is my Flirty Fella on the day of his birthday party! I was inspired to make the tree by a card tutorial that my friend
Scarlett Salomone did. Isn't it cute?! And, the sketch, by the lovely Lucy Chesna is the November 1st sketch at MY SKETCH WORLD!!
Ahhh...my girls!! This is getting to be a famous photo of Lucy, Suzann and I during our all too short visit this summer. We had an absolute blast and I can't wait to do it again! I think that this gorgeous paper, and the sketch by Becky Fleck did the photo justice. :)

This cute and simple card was made with
Pink Paislee's Spring Fling line and a set of Just Rite Stamps. These stamps are super cute and I am having a great time learning to use them!
This card is for all of you that actually visit my blog, and especially those of you that leave comments! Thanks so much for letting me share my work with you!

Be sure to stop by the AWDML DT BLOG today for the full reveal from the Design Team, and EVERY DAY for fun challenges and tutorials (there will even be a prize every month!!)
I hope that November brings you lots of things to be thankful for! Thanks for stopping by!!

Oh, Happy Day!!

I have no idea how it got to be the 15th of October already! My baby is going to be 6 in three days and my little girl is constantly wiggling her two loose front teeth. *sigh* It all goes way too fast!

But, it IS the 15th of the month, so I get to share with you what I have been working on for
A Walk Down Memory Lane! This month's featured manufacturer is Imaginisce and you can get any of their products for 15%off until the end of the month in the AWDML store!

My American Girl: This LO features the GORGEOUS
Bo Bunny Delilah line! I had a great time cutting out those flowers from a sheet of one of the patterned papers and shaping them to have all of the dimension. And, I had lots of fun with the Cinnamon Stickles, too!! This LO was also inspired by a sketch by Helen Croft.
My Wise Guy: For this LO I got to play with the new line from Dream Street called "Sam." This line is SO fun and is very versatile for fall layouts, boy layouts...anything! And, I used my sketch that I shared on the AWDML DT Blog.
Halloween Treat Bags: Aren't these CUTE!?! They are super easy, too! Keep your eye on the AWDML DT Blog on Saturdays for great tutorials brought to you by the DT...and you might just find out how to make these...hint, hint!! I used lots of AC Cardstock and Doodle Bug Hocus Pocus Papers.
Thanksgiving card: I made this super cute turkey with my Scallop Circle Nestibilities dies! These dies are seriously one of the best scrappy purchases I have ever made!! This card also uses a sketch by the lovely Lucy Chesna and some more of the Bo Bunny Delilah papers.

I hope you have enjoyed my "big" reveal! But, the fun doesn't stop here!! Make sure to stop by the other Design Team Members' blogs for more scrappy goodness. And, check out the
AWDML Design Team blog for a look at everything!
Have a great day!!

Happy October 1st!!!

It's been a long day, but finally I get to share my work with you!!

The featured manufacturer this month at
A Walk Down Memory Lane is Imaginisce!! I had a GREAT time working with their Teacher's Pet line!! It worked GREAT for those back to school photos and for cards for the teachers. The papers are versatile enough that they can be used for LO's that aren't about schoool, too!!

Don't forget that the
featured manufacturer is always 15% off at AWDML, too!!

This first layout showcases the Imaginisce papers, and also the October 1st Sketch at
My Sketch World (by the lovely and talented Lucy Chesna). My baby started Kindergarten this year. It's amazing how I could be so excited and happy, and so sad all at the same time...
And, here's my cutie pie!! This paper can do non-school layouts, too! And, this is based on another sketch by the lovely Lucy Chesna.
This card will be perfect for Teacher Appreciation week, even though it's not until spring. For once I am ahead of the game!! Now I just need to make two more....good thing I have plenty left!! ;)
I hope that you stop by the AWDML DT Blog, or the AWDML Gallery to see what the other DT members have done, too!!
Thanks for stopping by!!

One Hour Sketch Challenge at MSW

Last night we had a great time having a "One Hour Sketch Challenge" at My Sketch World. It was a total blast!! Cheryl posted one of Lucy's sketches at 9:00pm and we had one hour to complete the LO and 20 minutes to upload it to the gallery! What a great time!! Here is the layout that I did!

Yippee Skippee!!!

I love when I get to share what I have been working on with you!!

This month I have been working with
Little Yellow Bicycle (this month's featured manufacturer at AWDML) and some Scenic Route Garden Grove. It's been a blast and here's what I have been up to!

This LO is a little different for me, but I think that a simple layout on
Kraft Cardstock is just what this photo needed.
Journey:

This LO shows my daughter patiently waiting for the bus on her first day of 2nd grade. It seems like she is getting too big, too fast!! The butterfly was made from a template by Helen at http://www.scrap-a-little.com/.
Waiting to Fly:

Here's another card that does not open the traditional way. It was inspired by Dawn Griffith on one of her fabulous YouTube videos. Looooove it! When you untie the ribbon, you pull the triangles to open the card and it becomes rectangle in shape. Check out this image in the AWDML gallery and in the product description, I have included a photo of how it looks open.

My kids have been BEGGING for us to start giving them allowances. So, we decided that each week when they get their allowance, they need to put at least one dollar into "save" but it's up to them if they want to put the remaining two in "spend" (like for impromptu trips to the Dollar Store) or "save" for that one item they are saving for.

A Sunday challenge for you!

Happy Sunday everyone!!

This is a time of year when my family seems super busy, so we have to pare down and get back to the basics. School comes first and everything else is a nice bonus. So, this week, I want you to pare down your Layout and get back to the basics. That's right.....your challenge is to do a page with NO EMBELLISHMENTS!!!! Just photos and journaling. Some of my favorite layouts are the ones that are the simplest!

Here's one I did about my son that features this month's featured manufacturer at A Walk Down Memory Lane, Little Yellow Bicycle:

I love how this page came out and everytime I tried to add something else, it just didn't seem right. And then I realized, it just didn't NEED anything else.

So, go for it and make a Layout that gets back to the basics of Photos and Journaling, and share it with us in the AWDML Gallery!!

I can't wait to see what you come up with!!

Happy September 1st!!!

Happy September 1st, Everyone!! My sweet girl started second grade today, I had my first day of my 12th year of teaching with students, and it was a good day.

And, I get to share with you the work that I have been doing for A Walk Down Memory Lane!

The first layout is based on a wonderful sketch by the amazing Lucy Chesna. And, it's the featured layout sketch at My Sketch World! Swing by and check it out! This layout also features the Scenic Route Garden Grove line. You will definitely see more of this line from me soon! The funky flower on this layout was inspired by something I saw on the http://www.scrap-a-little/ blog.
Boogie Girl:

This next layout features my sweet girl on her 7th birthday! I can't believe she is 7 already!! And, the paper here is by Little Yellow Bicycle (who just so happens to be the featured manufacturer at A Walk Down Memory Lane this month!). This paper works perfectly with my photos and, you can get all Little Yellow Bicycle goodies for 15% off for the whole month of September!! This LO also has a cool flower that I made with my Nestabilities Scallop Circle Die!

What's up Doc is another Layout featuring Little Yellow Bicycle. This time, it's the
Traveler line. And, I also used a great sketch by the lovely Sarah Eclavea!

This is a fun (and easy) card that was very difficult to take a photo of that shows how it opens! As you may know, I have been challenging myself to make cards that do not open in the "traditional" way. This one unfolds sort of accordian style and the middle part flips over as you open it to reveal the second part of the sentiment. I used
LYB Traveler on this, too!

I hope the month of September is a great one for you!! Keep checking back here for more scrappy fun!!

And, you should definitely check out the blogs of the other AWDML DT members to see their sneaks, too!!
See you back here on the 1st!!

Card Fun!!

I have been having a great time making cards that don't open in the traditional way. I found the idea for this one on YouTube in a tutorial by Dawn. She has tons of fabulous ideas and it's super fun to tweak them and make them your own.

Check this one out! It looks like a "regular" card, but rather than open the traditional way, the top swings open (thanks to a brad) and it reveals your message underneath! Give it a try and share it with us in the AWDML Gallery.

Here is the card closed:
And, this is how it opens! Cute, huh?!

Thanks for checking it out! I would love to see what you do with this idea!
